The Soil Commander II is a versatile tillage toodesigned to meet the needs of the midsize farl mer who uses a 150-200 H.P. tractor. One of the keys to the machine's versatility is that it uses interchangeable shank legs and individually mounted disk assemblies. This makes possible a machine with disk assemblies on the front and rear of the frame with chisel plow or parabolic shanks on 15", 24" or 30" spacings. Underframe clearance with chisel plow shanks is 30", with parabolic 32" when shanks are in bottom hole. A combination of chisel and parabolic shanks can be used on 15" shank spacings. The parabolic shank can be set to run 4" deeper than the chisel shank. The depth and angle of the rear disk gang is adjustable. A turnbuckle is used to set the depth of the front disk gang. Approximate Set Up Time: 1 3/4 hour per shank. Drawbar Horsepower Required: 20-40 HP per shank. |
